The leadership of our officer team is what makes Singing Men of Texas such a dynamic, effective organization. Kudos go to all of our officers for the fantastic work they each do. But we want to single out and thank a couple of officers who are moving off the leadership team.
Thanks to David Hunt for a superb two years he has given as President-Elect and President. David was always on top of his responsibilities. Always on time in getting tasks done. Always thinking ahead and making helpful suggestions. Thanks, David.
Larry Collins has served many years as a member of the officer team. In 2009–2010, Larry served as President–Elect, followed by his term as President in 2010–2011. Then in 2012 he was coordinator of the mission trip to Ukraine. His longest-running role has been in communications. His digital expertise has made him invaluable in preparing our monthly concert programs, and monthly newsletters, looking after promotional elements, and always being willing to take on tasks that were not always in his officer description. Even as he told us of his decision to step down from the Communications position, he also volunteered to assist J.K. Weger in any way that he could this year as J.K. juggles the duties of both President and Secretary in the same year.
Thanks to David Hunt and Larry Collins for many dedicated years of service!
At the April concert Lee Deeds was elected as President–Elect. Lee thought he was getting off easy because the officer team determined not to have a kick-off retreat this year only, but he was asked by the officer team to immediately pick up the mantle of leadership for the North Texas Giving Day that Larry Collins had initiated and led so well in our group’s first year of participation.
We look forward to Lee’s leadership on our officer team over the course of these next two years. No items found. No items found.
