Concert Request Form

We are looking forward to a wonderful year for Singing Men in 2024–2025, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of this spectacular organization. but one important element that we’re missing at this point is a group of guys who are willing to host our monthly concerts. In order for our next season to be a success we need you to submit your concert requests ASAP.

Please begin praying and talking with your Pastors and powers that be if you would like to submit an offer to host the group. As any former host can tell you, it is a large job, but one that is such a blessing, and worth the sacrifice, because of the prolonged impact on our church family and community. 

The dates your officers have agreed upon are:

• September 19, 2024
• October 10, 2024
• November 7, 2024 (Dual)
• January 9, 2025
• February 13, 2025
• March 6, 2025 (Dual)
• April 3, 2025
• May 8-9, 2025 (Concert & Officer’s Meeting)

When considering hosting, here are some things to think about. This is not an exhaustive list of requirements, but a least touches the high points. For a complete overview of the requirements of hosting the group, download the Host Packet.

Regular Concert Hosts:

• Choir seating for up to 130 and orchestra space for up to 40 (creativity is sometimes needed)
• Sound Engineer from the church to set up and work with our SMOT team
• Evening Dinner and Afternoon Break. (Each SMOT member donates $10 to the cause)
• Seating for a minimum of 700 in the congregation.

Dual Concert Hosts: 

• Same as above, except
• Choir seating for up to 80 and orchestra space for up to 20 (creativity is sometimes needed)
• Seating for a minimum of 400 in the congregation.

If you don’t have the space at your church and want to bring SMOT to your community you could think about possible city venues and collaboration with another nearby SMOT member. Our most recent non-church concert venue was the Terrell Performing Arts Center.
